Brief & Requirement

The client of this project, XLounge, is a potential client based in Japan. They need a complete dating responsive website with an aim to seamlessly match Asian couples, which is similar to Tinder (dating application), but way more elegant and exclusive touch. The target audience is a stable financial and career mature male (aged more than 35 years old) and young Asian female, not over 35 years old, whose financial status is inferior and might need financial support from her dates.

Empathize

“How might we resolve the occasionally online dating experience where focuses more on solid and stable perspectives both in a love-relationship and financially?”. XLounge is a dating web-based application that arises from a specific pain point of general dating apps which use more of photos and unverified information. This product has some key features including interesting tags, dating time availability, specific points for dating, user verification proof. These features will resolve pain points that are arising from general dating apps.

Mockup & Prototyping

Low-fidelity wireframes and flows were provided by the UX team of XLounge. In terms of the product’s overall UIs , as the client required an elegant feel of the app, I was looking for color that makes the user feel luxurious and trusted. Black and Gold were the best answer for the product’s color theme. The combination of Archivo font and Lora font (both is an open source Google font) were used for the app because of its modern and clean characteristics.

Delivery

Deliverables to XLounge were all pages of designs for both mobile and desktop screens. Some of the front-end coding (Landing Page and Partner Information page) were handed off to developers team, using HTML5, CSS3 and JavaScript.
